An international pilot who was forced into hotel quarantine despite having initially been assured he could self-isolate at home has complained about the staggering bill he faces – and the quality of food he’s paying $60-a-day for.
The international pilot, who had been on a roster working out of Asia and has not seen his family in five months, is now in quarantine at the five-star Intercontinental Hotel in Perth.
‘We knew he wouldn’t be able to come home when it first started, so I thought I might see him in May or June, but then the international borders shut and if he came home he wouldn’t be able to work at all,’ his partner and mother-of-two Lindsay told Daily Mail Australia.
