All eyes were on Hollywood star Isla Fisher as she oozed glamour on the red carpet at CinefestOZ Film Festival last night.

The Perth-raised actress was among the star studded line-up in Busselton as part of the week-long annual event where Australia’s best new films compete for the richest film prize in the country.

“So excited to be at @cinefestoz and back home in the South West #cinefestoz #thisisWA #westernaustralia @westernaustralia,” Fisher wrote on Instagram.

The 45-year-old is part of the festival’s film jury, which will award $100,000, to the best movie in competition, and told The West Live’s Ben O’Shea that it was her first time judging.

“I love films, I have made a lot of films, but I haven’t ever judged them, so it’s been a fun learning curve,” she said.

Fisher appeared alongside fellow Perth-raised talent Rove McManus and his wife Tasma Walton.

McManus has the pleasure of hosting tonight’s Gala event that will also see Fisher awarded the Screen Legend Award, given to outstanding film talent.

Previous recipients include Bryan Brown, Hugo Weaving, Jack Thompson and Sigrid Thornton.

Fisher and her Borat and Ali-G star husband Sacha Baron Cohen have been living in Sydney with their three children after leaving the US late last year due to the continuing COVID pandemic.

Baron Cohen has also tagged along for the ride although he doesn’t have any formal obligations in the South West.

Fisher and Baron Cohen are understood to have arrived in Perth from NSW earlier this month after being approved for entry through the G2G process

They also enjoyed a family visit to WA in April when they were spotted holidaying at Crown Towers’ luxurious Crystal Club.
