Its is now 04 Feburary 2021 and we have recorded no new cases

WA has recorded a fourth straight day of zero new locally-acquired cases, keeping Perth and the South West on track for an end to lockdown at 6pm tomorrow.

Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt revealed the positive news ahead of Premier Mark McGowan addressing media at 11.30am today.

Mr McGowan has already announced that schools will re-open on Monday if a fifth consecutive day of zero cases is recorded but flagged there would be a transition period before all other restrictions are lifted.

Some measures – including mask wearing – are likely to remain in place beyond Friday and it remains to be seen whether businesses will be subjected to maximum capacity limits or a temporary return of the 4sqm rule.
